This unique massage-like technique, was developed by D. Gary Young to add the therapeutic benefits of the specifically selected essential oils to promote healing from within by combining his knowledge of the "vita flex technique" (vitality to the feet's reflex points) and the powerful effect that the feathered finger-stroking technique (light stoking on the back along the spine) had on the muscles and nervous system.

Although since 1989 this technique has been embraced by massage therapists, chiropractors and other medical professionals around the world to promote relaxation, spinal alignments and immune stimulant effects, this technique is also used by common people on their families and friends and even on their pets, as anyone can learn to do it.
