This oil is the second one used in the raindrop technique after Valor, for its cleansing properties. along with oregano, it cleanses the cells' receptor sites for better function. Thyme is a powerful oil that creates a hostile environment where fungus, virus and bacteria cannot thrive.
Thyme is a good antioxidant and is one of the igredients of Longevity oil blend, Longevity vitality and Longevity softgels. It is helpful to maintaining a young looking skin and it may promote memory accuity. Inhale from hands deeply every day or difuse for 20-30 minutes daily while in the room.
Thyme can be diluted and used topically for a healthy looking skin. Use to cleanse, and purify cuts, an ocassional rash, scaly, itchy or sore skin. May help sooth from insect bites. It can also be used on ganglion cysts. Mix 2 drops thyme and 3 drops lavender in 2 oz water + 2 oz witch hazel (astringent) to control cebum on oily skin.
Thyme is from the Lamiaceae or Labiatae (MINT) botanical family. It is mentioned in one of the oldest medical records, the Ebers Papyrus, and in Discorides's De Materia Medica, which became the standartd reference for herbal treatment for more than 1,700 years. The Egyptians also used thyme during the embalming process.
